About Augusta Technology

Locally owned technology support, from Augusta, Missouri

Who runs it

A newer name. Not a newer technician.

Nathan Canfield

Owner and lead technician

Augusta Technology is a newer company name. The work behind it is not new. Before founding it, Nate built and ran Nate’s Computer Repair in Columbia, Missouri — his own technology service business, with his own name on the door.

He studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Military Institute and holds a BBA from Columbia College. Most of what he knows, though, came from the work itself rather than from a classroom.

Augusta Technology is run by the person who does the work. There is no queue, no ticket tier and no account manager between you and the technician — the person who answers the phone is the person who turns up.

How we work

Three things you can hold us to

  • Straight answers

Clear explanations and recommendations that fit your situation. If the cheaper option is the right one, that is the one you will hear about.

  • One accountable technician

You work directly with the person doing the work. Nothing is handed to a department you cannot reach.

  • Local and remote

On-site help around Augusta and Washington, and secure remote support when that is simply faster for both of us.

Where we work

Based in Augusta, Missouri

On-site work covers Augusta, Washington and the surrounding communities listed here. Remote support reaches clients across the United States.

Some of what Augusta Technology does needs a van and a pair of hands — repairs, cabling, Wi-Fi surveys, hardware. Some of it does not: web development, custom software and automation are delivered remotely and are not limited to the on-site area.

  • Augusta
  • Washington
  • Union
  • New Haven
  • Marthasville
  • Dutzow
  • Defiance
  • New Melle
  • Wentzville
  • O’Fallon
  • Lake St. Louis
  • St. Peters

What that means in practice

  • On-site: computer repair, networking and Wi-Fi, business IT support
  • Remote, nationwide: support sessions for existing clients
  • Not tied to a location: web development, custom software, AI and automation
  • Business networks are built on Ubiquiti UniFi equipment, including outdoor wireless bridges that link one building to another
