Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology, a keyboard on its own, or zoom.

Our approach

We build and review this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means a logical heading structure, text alternatives for images that carry meaning, form fields with real labels, a visible keyboard focus outline, colour contrast that holds up, and layouts that still work on a small screen or when the page is zoomed.

Graphics that are decoration rather than information are hidden from screen readers instead of being described, so they do not interrupt reading. Movement is reduced for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.

What we have not done

This site has not been formally audited, and we have not completed manual testing with screen readers, so we do not claim full conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Claiming it without an audit behind it would not be honest.

Automated checks cannot find every problem in any case. The ones they miss most often are the ones a person notices first, which is why the section below matters more than this one.

Tell us about a barrier

If something here is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us. We will get you the information another way while we fix the page, and knowing what broke is the fastest route to it being fixed.

Please say which page you were on and what happened. You do not need to know the technical cause.
